Unsightly ear hair on men is one of the major turn-offs for women. However, there are many ways in which you can get rid of the same.
Ear hair can be unattractive and put off any woman. They not only look ugly, but give the impression that the person is not well-groomed and does not care about his appearance. Facial hair, especially in and around the ear, can be very unsightly. If you want to know how to get rid of ear hair, then here are some effective hair removal techniques.
Ear Hair Removal Techniques for Men
Shaving
One of the easiest ways to remove hair from the outer ear is shaving. You can use your regular razor for this. You only need to shave closely, at the same time very carefully, so that the razor does not cause any cuts in the skin around your ear.
Tweezing
Tweezers can be used to pull hair from the inner ear, but this is ideal for those who have less hair in the ear. As tweezing involves pulling each and every hair from the skin, it can be quite painful and time-consuming. The hair grows back after being tweezed in the same time as hair grows back after shaving.
Cutting
If you have long hair coming out of the ears, you can cut them close to the skin, with a pair of scissors. Be careful while doing this, and see that you do not hurt yourself.
Electric Razors
Electric razors which are especially meant for removing hair from the nose and ears can be used for hair removal. They are much safer compared to the regular razors, tweezers or scissors.
Hair Removing Creams
Another hair removal option for men is to use the depilatory creams that are available in the market. You need to simply apply the cream on your ears and leave it on for about fifteen minutes. Then wipe off the cream and the hair from the ear with a cloth, and finally wash off with cold water.
Hair removing creams are quite convenient to use, though they do not remove the hair permanently. The hair re-grows after about 10-15 days and the cream needs to be re-applied again.
Another drawback of depilatory creams is that they contain strong chemicals and thus, may not suit everybody. So before using these creams, do a patch test on your arm. If the patch test does not cause any skin reaction, you can safely use the cream on the ears.
Electrolysis
Electrolysis is a method, which can permanently remove the hair from the ear. In this method, a needle is inserted inside the hair follicles, then electric current is passed through it, which destroys the hair roots completely and hence, hair doesn’t grow again.
Electrolysis can be used for hair removal, but only for the outer ear. The inner ear is very delicate, so hair in that area should not be removed by electrolysis, as it can damage the eardrum and cause hearing loss.
Laser Hair Removal
If you are looking for a painless and permanent technique, then laser hair removal is the ideal choice for you. In this method, a laser beam is passed over the area, in this case the ears, from where hair may need to be removed. The laser beam absorbs and finally destroys the hair in the skin. This technique is very convenient, but expensive.
The ear is a very sensitive part of our body. So be careful and cautious while using any of these techniques for ear hair removal, or there is a possibility that you may cut or injure yourself.
